It is your responsibility to check your tickets as mistakes or errors cannot be rectified later.

Every member of the audience must be in possession of a valid ticket.

Please be advised to check and make allowances for any events likely to delay your arrival at the Layton Institute in time for the start of the show (e.g. traffic during Illuminations). Every effort will be made to admit latecomers at a suitable point in the show, but admission cannot always be guaranteed prior to the first interval. Doors usually open one hour before the start of the show.

All major credit and debit cards accepted with online sales only. When booking by credit and debit card, a fee of £0.75p per transaction is applicable. We do not take payment by cheque or postal order. The box office at the Layton Institute only accepts payment by cash.

Concession priced tickets, where available, apply to; Senior Citizens of and over government retirement age, people with a Registered Disability, Unwaged, Equity, BECTO & MU Members, Students and Under 18s. Relevant ID may be required when requesting concessions. Only one concession is available per ticket, and may not be used in conjunction with other offers, discounts or promotions. Tickets are issued at the discretion of BIG One Productions. Concessions and offers are subject to availability, and must be requested at the time of booking. No retrospective discounts are available.

Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by at least one adult to any performance.

The Layton Instutite has seating for all in the Stalls or Dress Circle. Please note that tickets for the Dress circle may cost more than the stalls.

Any patron who has a special needs request (extra wide or long wheelchair space or stair lift) must make this at the time of booking as such requests may not be able to be implemented retrospectively. As there are a finite number of wheelchair spaces in the main auditorium, users must advise of their requirements at the time of booking; we can hold 10 wheelchairs, but guests must be able to get into a stair lift to get to the Stalls.

There are 15 steps upto the Dress Circle from the Stalls.

Certain seating areas may give a restricted view for certain events, however these will be the last seats sold at the venue.

The management reserves the right to refuse admission.

Please be aware that the Layton Institute does not have a lift between floors, it is approximately 35 stairs to the Stalls and 15 to the Dress Circle from Stalls level. The Bar Area is on the Stalls level. There is a stairlift, but please advise at the time of booking if you need to use this.

No responsibility may be accepted for personal property. Please keep your belongings with you at all times. Please be aware that extra security measures (e.g. searches) may be implemented. Any member of public who refuses a search will not be allowed into the Layton Institute.

Photography is permitted by members of the public however no recording inside the auditorium by members of the audience is permitted. The Layton Institute reserves the right for themselves of third parties to carry out general filming and recording in and around the Theatre.

From time to time, official show merchandise may be available. Neither the Layton Institute or BIG One Productions can accept any responsibility for the sale of such merchandise.

Most shows contain smoke, dry ice and strobe lighting effects, although the inclusion of these may not be notified to the theatre until the actual performance dates. Please check the foyer notices for more information when you visit the theatre.

Tickets are sold subject to the Theatre’s right to alter the performance schedule or cast should circumstances beyond our control make this unavoidable, without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

In the event of a change or cancellation to the performance schedule, ticket holders will be notified via the contact details left by the purchaser with the Theatre. The Theatre is not liable for any changes or inaccuracies in these details which may prevent the ticket holder being contacted. In the case of a group booking the organiser, who purchased the tickets, is deemed responsible for communicating any changes to the group.

The ticket holder is entitled to a seat of the value corresponding to that shown on the ticket. The Theatre reserves the right to provide alternative seating to those specified on the ticket. Where seating of a lesser value only is available, the ticket holder will be compensated to a maximum of the difference in value between the cost of the seats. The ticket holder may be re-seated in higher priced seating at no additional cost at the discretion of the Theatre Management.

In the interests of health and safety, the venue and BIG One Productions reserve the right to restrict public access to parts of the theatre.

In the event of a cancellation of a performance or event, the venue shall have no further liability other than the face value of the ticket.

Every effort is made to ensure that the information on the website, in the brochure, and all other publicity materials and adverts are correct, however, we advise prospective patrons to contact the Box Office at the venue to confirm show information and availability prior to making a special trip to the venue.

On street parking is just outside the venue. We recommend that you chcek all signs on the street however at time of press it is free to park on street at the venue.
